The Provincial Historic Commemorations Board will review June submissions at their next meeting in October.
Newfoundland and Labrador's exceptional people from the past, unique places, outstanding historic events, and cultural traditions and practices are commemorated following a rigourous application and review process. New designations are announced by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation every year.
