What can I do here?
- Climb the 128 steps to the top of the lighthouse tower - the
second tallest in Canada. Bring your binoculars to get a better
view of icebergs and whales.
- Talk to interpreters about life on the Straits of Labrador and
the story of the lighthouse.
- Hike the coastal trail - about 30 minutes out to the wreck of
the HMS Raleigh. A great trail for wildflowers and fossils.
Continue along the shore towards a sandy beach and pause at the
grave for a 12-year-old boy buried 7,500 years ago - the oldest
burial mound in North America.
