The Provincial Historic Commemorations Board will review June submissions at their next meeting in October.
For the purposes of this program, a "tradition bearer" is a person or group of people (living or deceased) with a high degree of knowledge of - and the skills required - to perform or re-create-specific elements of Newfoundland and Labrador's intangible cultural heritage, especially aspects that may be rare or in danger of being lost. To be eligible, a tradition bearer must be recognized as an expert in one of the following areas:
